GLOBAL CHIC IN MIDCITY

A beautiful Mid City Victorian, this post-rehab interior design intent was to reflect the client's well-traveled, eco-conscious style. We started to add colors and textures and came up with a palette of navy, mustard, gold and browns to reflect the earthy tones that the client is drawn to. For the bedroom, we created a custom upholstered headboard used Mexican Otomi fabric and linen drapes line custom made rods and bring out accents in the rug and custom pillows by Les Indiennes and Fabricut. Brass nightstands and a chic mod bench polish the bohemian look. The room looked great but I was not satisfied  as I felt it needed a little bit of the client's graphic design edge in it. Custhom Wallpaper's Offset pattern in Fir Green and gold seemed to be the perfect fit. I liked the idea of incorporating a graphic pattern in a different color for this very large wall.  The result was beautiful and the room came together.

Makelike wallpaper has a hand-drawn quality that brings a lovely geometry which compliment the global patterns accented throughout the family room. In the living room, pattern is at play in the rug, coffee table and House of Hackney velvet sofa. The ceiling color beckons to the dining room. Lush velvet club chairs and a brass Jonathan Adler ceiling fixture finish the look with class.
