With projects around the country, Nomita Joshi Interior Design specializes in luxury homes, restorations, hospitality and retail design. Working closely with architects, contractors, builders, and artisans, Nomita brings an innovative design approach to each project. With a background in architecture, urban planning, preservation and interior design, the firm holds 20 years of experience with mindful solutions for a variety of spaces.

Our Studio's Office and Concept Space is located adjacent to our parent company SPRUCE a multi-line wallpaper and fabric showroom. Find us at 2035 Magazine Street in the Historic Lower Garden District neighborhood in New Orleans.

Nomita Joshi-Gupta - Studio Principal
NCIDQ, Louisiana Registered Interior designer #1481, ASID
Ms. Joshi-Gupta was born in India and studied Architecture at LSU and Urban Planning at UNO in the United States. Influenced by her architect father, the international style of her native city -Bangalore and the history of her home city New Orleans- she brings a unique, modern and global perspective to her design work. She has 20 years of experience in Architecture, Planning, Preservation, Interior Design and is a Louisiana licensed Interior Designer. She currently serves on the Preservation Reource Center on New Orleans and The Arts Council boards. Her past board positions are ASID Chair for New Orleans, New Orleans Film Society and The Green Project New Orleans.
Sarah Allee-Walsh - Senior Designer
Sarah is a graduate of Louisiana State University Bachelors of Interior Design program. She's recently returned from four years working with interior design and architecture firms in NYC and worked with Olivia Erwin Interiors in New Orleans prior to joining Nomita Joshi Interior Design + Spruce. She's been integral in residential and commercial projects through and looks forward to obtaining her NCIDQ certification in the next year.
